1)Growth-Every
employee wants to feel like they have an opportunity to learn and grow in the
organization. If organization invest to more to learning and development it
will be help to get employee discretionary energy, engagement and loyalty.
2)Happiness-Happiness can sometimes be a tough measure.
General indicators for happiness at work are if an employee feels like they
have autonomy over their work. If they feel supported and not overwhelmed with
their work load and if they feel like they have a good work life balance.
3)Ambassadorship-The level of ambassadorship is really
a measure of employee’s loyalty and what they say about company. It’s important
for employees to be engage because the stories being told on the inside. Can be
felt on the outside by customers.
4)Relationship to Peers-Employees have good
relationships with one another. It’s important to focus on peer to peer relationship
in order to keep internal service cooperation in peak performance. Also foster great peer to peer relationship
with opportunities to peer to peer recognition.
5)Relationship to Manager-Leadership is paramount in
any organizations. It’s been said that many employees stay not for the
organization but for their managers.
6)Recognition-Recognition in the workplace can take on
many forms. It can be as simple as a non-monetary thank you or acknowledgement
in front of their peers. It can also include monetary recognition such as bonuses,
a salary increase or a total recognition program where can reward employees at
every touch point with reward.
7)Feedback-Feedback is an important element to employee’s
growth and happiness, Leaders have frequent and open communication with their
direct report. Transparent in
expectations and work with employees to help them get their feedback and
coaching is an important element for engagement because your employees will
feel like they are valued in the organization.
8)Wellness-It
is easy to tell if you have a culture focused on wellness, You can measure this
with many indicators such as overall absenteeism. Productively and employee
health. In addition to employee engagement when you have culture of wellness you
will see many benefits, including lower turnover, increased attraction of of
new employees, decreased absenteeism, greater productivity and a decrease in
health disorders including lack of sleep, anxiety and obesity.
9)Alignment-Whether
or not a person is aligned with the organization starts from the very minute
they are hired. That’s why it is important to hire employees who are cultural
fit.
10)Job
fit and Compensation-Satisfaction is really and overall indicator of employee
engagement. This can include elements such as compensation work environment, and
fit of role for the employee. Some ways can improve the overall satisfaction of
employee include providing them with fair and competitive salary.

Only 13% of employees are engaged worldwide according to studies. This is a disaster. The result creates lower sales, productivity, customer service and morale. This costs companies billions of lost revenue and profit. Managers have to learn how to increase employee engagement.

ReplyDeleteEmployee engagement is where the employees holding a positive attitude towards the organization and its values (Robinson et al, 2004).There can be many factors which can straightly influence the engagement of employees. In my angle, the job role of each employee should be properly aligned with the business objectives & then the employees will have a clear idea that what's their commitment in achieving the set goals. The engagement will enhance accordingly.
